1976Plastiglas, S. A. is founded in the city of Panama, Republic of Panama.
1977
Plastiglas, S. A. begins its operations. The first bottle was produced for Esso Standard Oil whom currently continues to be Plastiglas, S. A. customer.
1982
Plastiglas, S. A. in Panama produces the first PET bottle for carbonated drinks in Central America. This was a 2 liters bottle with basic bottom cup.
1984
Plastiglas, S.A produces the first co-extruded bottle in Latin America utilized by Nestle Company of Panama for their product Ketchup.
1990
Plastiglas de El Salvador, S. A. de C.V. is founded.
1996
Plastiglas de El Salvador, S. A. de C.V. begins exporting to the neighboring countries of Nicaragua, Guatemala and Honduras.
2000
The injection of our own preforms is started.
An issue of bonds is launched in the Panamanian market.
2001-2005
The Preform center grows and is consolidated in El Salvador, from where our needs of the area are supplied, also selling to third parties. The production capacity installed is extended and operations are established within our customers (in-house).
